Welcome to Go Mama — a community for moms looking for real-life friendship with other moms. These Terms are the agreement between you and Go Mama. Please read them; by using the app you agree to them.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Go Mama application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Who can use Go Mama
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Go Mama. The Service is intended for parents and caregivers seeking platonic friendship and community — it is not a dating service. By using Go Mama you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.
3. Your account & verification
- You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login secure.
- Verification is how we keep Go Mama real. You agree to complete it honestly — a real photo of yourself and a selfie we match against it — and not to impersonate anyone. You may also connect a social account; that is recommended, not required.
- Verification is what unlocks the things that reach another mom directly: messaging, joining or hosting a playdate, and joining a private group. Only verified moms appear on the moms wall. You can browse Go Mama, and join and post in public groups, before you finish it.
- One person, one account. Don't create accounts for others or using false information.
4. Community rules & acceptable use
Go Mama only works if it stays warm and safe. You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, demean, or discriminate against other moms.
- Post content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive, or that infringes others' rights.
- Use the Service to spam, solicit, advertise, recruit for a business, or run a scam.
- Misrepresent who you are, or collect or misuse other members' information.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules or threaten the community.
5. Playdates & your safety
Go Mama helps moms arrange real-life playdates. We are a platform for introductions — we do not conduct criminal background checks on members, and we can't guarantee anyone's identity, conduct, or intentions. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members. Please use good judgment: meet in public places, tell someone where you're going, and trust your instincts. You meet other members at your own risk.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, profile details, and messages you create ("Your Content"). By posting Your Content, you grant Go Mama a limited, non-exclusive license to host, display, and share it within the Service as needed to operate the features you use (for example, showing your profile to potential matches, or showing a group post to the members of that group). You're responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it. We will never sell Your Content — see our Privacy Policy.
Where your posts go. In a public group — and in the app-wide Everyone feed — anything you post can be read by anyone on Go Mama, including a mom who has not joined that group, a mom who has not finished verification, and a visitor who has not signed up at all; it may also appear in their community feed. In a private or invite-only group, only that group's members can read your posts, and nothing from it reaches anyone else's feed. Treat a public group as public. Choose the group's privacy setting with that in mind, and see the Privacy Policy for the full description.
You can edit or delete anything you have written — a post or a reply — at any time, and remove a reaction by tapping it again. Deleting your account deletes everything you have written along with the rest of your data, except for limited records we must retain as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Payments
Go Mama is free. There is no paid tier, no subscription and no feature you have to pay to reach. If we ever offer a paid plan we will say so clearly before you are charged, and these Terms will be updated first. If a paid plan is offered in future and you buy one, you authorize us (or the applicable app store) to charge the then-current price and any applicable taxes; subscriptions would renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date, and except where required by law payments are non-refundable.
8. Privacy
Your privacy matters. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it — including our promise not to sell your personal data or use it for advertising. It is incorporated into these Terms.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any match or playdate will meet your expectations.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Go Mama and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the Service, your interactions or playdates with other members, or any content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Go Mama from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.
12. Termination
You may stop using Go Mama and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the community. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses already granted, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
